Microsoft CRM 2011 Release Candidate, Launch Date Announced
Updated · Dec 15, 2010
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has unveiled a pre-release version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and set a launch date of Jan. 20 for the official release of the CRM software.
Microsoft announced the availability of its next-generation customer relationship management (CRM) software in a number of blog posts yesterday. Among the interesting features of the new release are business intelligence and SharePoint modules, and the software also offers two email modules.
The software giant hopes the new release will help it gain ground — and perhaps even outperform — archrival Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) in a $10 billion market led by SAP (NYSE: SAP) and Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL).
