KANA Gets In The Know With New CIO

KANA (NASDAQ:KANA) Wednesday says it has named technology industry veteran Tanya Dins as its chief information officer.
The Menlo Park, Calif.-based company specializes in e-business services including e-mail, Web, chat, instant message, VOIP, phone and person-to-person, as well as applications targeted for marketing, sales and service functions.
“We know it is critical to our success that we leverage information technology throughout KANA to help build the most efficient and effective organization possible,” says KANA president and CEO Chuck Bay. “Tanya's depth of talent and experience will ensure we make the right technology decisions and investments so that KANA continues to be a company that is using technology to drive the success of our business.”
Dins will be responsible for the planning, strategy, and implementation of technology within the company, as well as leading all information technology initiatives.
Before coming to KANA, Dins service as CIO at CacheFlow. She has also held a variety of senior positions at Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ:SUNW) and served as vice president of engineering and CIO for Food.com.
