Salesforce Aims to Enable the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Salesforce has made a name for itself by helping its customers succeed with multiple applications delivered as a service from the cloud. At the company's Dreamforce event that occurred the first week of November, Salesforce made a series of announcements that it hopes will fuel the next generation of success stories.
Among the new tools announced at Dreamforce were enhanced features for the Salesforce Customer Success Platform including improved drag and drop tools to easily use, build and modify applications. In an effort to help its customers learn, the myTrailhead continuous learning platform was launched, providing a customizable learning service.
The ability to build apps easily is something that Salesforce is reinforcing with its new myLighting product, which provides its users with the ability to declaratively build customized apps.
The new myEinstein service now enable's Saleforce customers to build customized artificial intelligence-enabled applications on the Salesforce platform. Einstein is Saleforce's AI platform and will have two services initially available on myEinstein. One is the Prediction Builder which enables users to create AI models that predict outcomes. The second is the Einstein Bots service, which uses historical CRM data to respond to customer inquiries.
Dreamforce was also where Salesforce announced its new myIOT service, which enables customers to use IoT data to create rules-based automation for different processes.
“The Fourth Industrial Revolution is reshaping every business, industry and economy, and the customer is at the center of it all,” Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO, Salesforce, stated. “Salesforce is delivering breakthrough technologies like artificial intelligence to empower trailblazers to deliver customer success, develop their careers and contribute to society in meaningful ways.”
