Akibia Opens in Chicago
Updated · Jun 01, 2001
Akibia Consulting, a Boston systems integrator specializing in customer relationship management (CRM) applications, has
opened a new office in Chicago.
“At a time when other consultancies are closing offices and laying off staff, Akibia continues to grow and thrive,” said Adam Honig, Akibia's president. “We're
excited about playing an important role in Chicago's CRM community.”
The firm named Roy Schuster, a vice president with 12 years industry experience, to lead the office. Previously, Schuster was a principal at Lante Corp., an Internet
consulting firm. He's also worked at Cambridge Technology Partners and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
“Chicago is a vibrant CRM market which is quite diversified,” Schuster said. “It encompasses call centers, consumer products, healthcare, high tech and financial
services — all areas of strength for Akibia.”
In addition to its headquarters and new Windy City office, the privately held firm has operations in New York, San Francisco, London and Amsterdam. It employs
about 450 people.
Clients include Akamai Technologies, PTC, Bose, Monster.com and Citibank.
