Aspect Makes Changes to Exec Management

Aspect Communications Corporation, provider of customer relationship portals and contact servers, has made some changes to the executive management structure.
Rod D. Butters, in the newly created role of group president, worldwide market development, sales and services, leads the new executive team. Butters previously held the Aspect position of executive vice president, product strategy and portal platform, as well as chief strategy officer. Butters brought almost 20 years of experience in technology, development, marketing and sales to Aspect when he joined the firm in December 1998. Prior to that he served as vice president of product and program management and business development in the application server division of Oracle Corporation.
Other management changes include Gary E. Barnett as executive vice president, products and chief technical officer, making the move from executive vice president, eCRM applications and chief technical officer. Also, Betsy Rafael will add the responsibilities of chief administrative officer to her current duties as executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer.

Infante, chairman, president and chief executive officer for Aspect. “In order to more closely align our strategy and marketing efforts with our sales and service execution, we are integrating all of these functions into one organization under Rod Butters. Additionally, the consolidation of all development under Gary will streamline and simplify our development efforts on a global basis, and Betsy's additional responsibilities will centralize the management of all operational infrastructure under one executive.”
