DARIEN, CT–Details of the second annual eCRM Spring 2001 Conference & Exhibition have been
announced. The conference, to be co-located with Internet World Spring, will be held
March 13 -16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The conference will be managed and produced by Penton Media in strategic partnership with
Freedom Technology Media Group. Penton says the four-day conference takes a comprehensive
look at the newest eCRM strategies, processes, technologies and culture, targeting thousands
of executives in charge of integrating Internet-based CRM, SFA, and marketing automation
applications with datamarts, corporate intranets and legacy systems.

“A recent Harvard University study revealed that most businesses lose half their customers
within five years,” said Jill Campbell, Group Show Director, eCRM. “Given the high cost of
acquiring new customers, businesses have discovered the importance of implementing CRM to
ensure that their customers stay put, and eCRM Spring 2001 will provide business
leaders with the latest strategies, tools and technologies.”

Penton claims eCRM features presentations from the industry's top executives. The keynote
speaker, Tom Siebel, Chairman and CEO, Siebel Systems, Inc., will be speaking Thursday,
March 15, at 9 o'clock. The eCRM Exhibit Hall will offer attendees a chance to see, test
and compare hundreds of Internet-based products, services and solutions, including: Sales
Force Automation Hardware, Web Enabled Selling/e-Commerce, Data Mining/Warehousing, Customer
Interaction Center, Mass Customization and Personalization, according to Penton.
