ERP Sales to Increase in 2011

A new study from research firm, Gartner, indicate that sales of business management software like enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is set to witness remarkable increase. As noted in this TMCnet story, Gartner highlights the fact that across the globe ERP software revenue will soon shoot upwards to $253.7 billion. This is an increase of 7.5 percent when compared to that of 2010.
“Gartner analysts further stated that firms are striving to enhance business intelligence and content management systems and are ready to invest in solutions that will help them meet the demands of an ever changing market.
“Gartner has specified five long-term, interdependent trends that affect the ERP software markets. They are globalization, implementation, modernization, socialization and verticalization.”
