Executive Appointments at LivePerson
Updated · Jun 14, 2001
Alley e-commerce software firm LivePerson, Inc. has announced a pair of senior management additions, including Ron Karidi as vice president of business insight.
LivePerson, which builds software that allows e-commerce plays to chat in real-time with customers, also named Michael Johnson VP of sales to focus on customer acquisition and retention.
As VP of business insight, LivePerson said Karidi would help define and develop the company's business services. “Ron will provide ROI-related measurements and reports to demonstrate the value of LivePerson's solutions and services to its customer base.”
Prior to joining LivePerson, Karidi served as chief scientist at Magnify, Inc. and lead scientist at Electronics for Imaging, Inc.
Johnson, who will lead LivePerson's online and direct sales teams, was formerly a senior VP and Mibrary Inc., the digital library firm.
LivePerson, which faces delisting from the Nasdaq exchange, has undergone a series of executive departures in recent months, including the resignation of president and COO Christopher McQuilkin, who quit the post after only two months on the job.
LivePerson, one of a handful of Internet companies in Silicon Alley to go public in 2000, also implement layoffs in January, a move that affected 60 employees.
