Infor Intros Marketing Automation App on Salesforce Platform
Updated · Sep 19, 2012
Infor, a provider of CRM, ERP and other business applications, launched Inforce Marketing, a marketing automation system built on the Salesforce platform, at this week's Dreamforce event.
According to Infor, the software integrates deeply with Salesforce to streamline the marketing process and provides greater visibility over leads, costs, results and revenues so marketers can focus their efforts on revenue objectives. The product assesses leads for quality once they enter Salesforce, estimates how closely a lead fits the company’s ideal lead profile, and helps companies determine appropriate lead follow-up.
It can automatically execute a campaign and handles follow up, freeing marketers from constantly needing to monitor progress and follow-up manually. It supports multi-channel campaigns that can include email, direct mail, social media and telemarketing.
The solution also includes trend analysis tools that help marketers plan, manage and monitor revenue objectives and KPIs across each stage of the revenue cycle.
Inforce Marketing was awarded inclusion in the new Social Apps Showcase on Salesforce's AppExchange. It is the second Infor product release completely coded on the Salesforce Platform, following Inforce Everywhere, which was released in March. Infor plans to add quote and order capabilities to Inforce Everywhere in the first quarter of 2013.
An Infor statement quotes Rebecca Wetteman, vice president of Nucleus Research, who says Nucleus has found that development on the Salesforce platform is nearly five times faster than traditional development. “With Inforce Marketing, Infor takes advantage of these economies and focuses on differentiating with Infor's extensive experience in the marketing space to streamline marketing processes from the top to the bottom of the sales funnel,” she says.
