Jeff McDermott Addresses Venture Capitalists

Jeff McDermott, president and CEO of CustomerLinx Corp., was a guest speaker and moderator at the third annual Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta New Economy Conference on last Saturday.

Tom Meredith, president and CEO, Internet Strategy Partners, an Atlanta-based investment bank and one of the conference coordinators, invited McDermott to address eCRM outsourcing.

The conference theme, “What now? The next wave of opportunities in the New Economy,” offered venture capitalists and entrepreneurs a forum for the presentation and discussion of the most relevant issues affecting Internet-related businesses now and in the future.

The conference, held at the Swissotel in Buckhead, drew more than 500 attendees and featured Jeff Arnold, CEO, The Convex Group, as the keynote speaker. Other participants included Katrina Lane, associate principle, McKinsey & Company and Lisa Campbell, senior vice president, marketing and development, RedCelsius. The conference also covered eLogistics and fulfillment as well as financing. McKinsey & Company and Morris, Manning & Martin sponsored the event.

CustomerLinx, based in Alexandria, Va., specializes in Web-enabled, multi-mode Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) services. The company's suite of eCRM services includes Web and voice interaction, IVR, email response, order entry, fulfillment, data mining and modeling and market research.
