Salesforce.com Scores Again In Healthcare

Adding to a growing list of healthcare customers, Salesforce.com, the San Francisco, Calif.-based provider of online customer relationship management (CRM) software, today announced that SonoSite, Inc. , an international manufacturer of hand-held ultrasound equipment, has deployed salesforce.com's online CRM solution across its global operations.
A customer since March, 2001, SonoSite has implemented Salesforce.com' integrated sales and support functions for use by SonoSite's employees across North America and Europe.
“We needed an online CRM solution that delivered immediate benefit to our sales force and support representatives without any barriers like slow download times and confusing design,” says Ron Dickson, vice president of sales, SonoSite, Inc.
“Salesforce.com delivers the tools our employees need to be effective, along with the reporting functionality that helps executive management assess and grow our business, without requiring any investment in software, hardware or consultants,” he adds.

Headquartered in Bothell, WA, with European headquarters in the U.K., SonoSite says that Salesforce.com has enabled it to better manage costs and substantially increase efficiency as the company doubled its U.S. sales force last year.
In addition to sales growth in U.S., SonoSite expanded its European operations opening a new office in France in November 2001. Throughout this growth, the firm says Salesforce.com has scaled to meet its global needs.
